Mojtaba Mohammadi is an Assistant Professor of TEFL and currently head of the English department at Islamic Azad University, West Tehran Branch, Tehran, Iran. He has been teaching English for more than 25 years in language Institutes and universities. He has a Ph.D. in TEFL and was a faculty member at Azad University, Roudehen Branch for 18 years, where he took several managerial positions such as head of ELT department (2 years), vice-chancellor for cultural affairs (1 year), Director of the Office of International Affairs (6 years), and dean of the faculty of Persian Literature and Foreign Languages (4 years). He is currently a member of the ELT department at Azad University, West Tehran Branch. He is currently elected as a member of the Board of Directors of TELLSI (Teaching English Language and Literature Society of Iran). Mojtaba is also a certified trainer trainer from Cambridge University and IELTS teacher trainer from International House (IH) Dubai and IDP Australia. He has attended and has been certified in a number of teacher training workshops and keynotes run by profs. Neil Anderson, Ann Burns, Hayo Reinders, Peter MacIntyre, Jeremy Harmer, David Nunan, Mario Rinvolucri among others. Mojtaba has been a teacher trainer for over 14 years and has run tens of training courses and workshops for different language institutes and universities. He has published research papers in scholarly journals and book chapters in high-profile publishers such as Wiley Blackwell, Routledge, and MacMillan. He has co-authored an entry entitled "Listening Assessment" in the TESOL Encyclopedia of English Language Teaching by John Liontas (2018) published by Wiley Blackwell. His areas of interest are Language assessment, Technology in language teaching/testing, and teacher education.
